In CSC 263 I did not allow you to use Dreamweaver or other WYSIWYG editors to create your homework because I wanted your to work at the HTML level.   For this class, I assume you know HTML and can edit code produced by Dreamweaver or FrontPage, so you may use whatever editor you wish for assignments in this class.

Also you may choose to download and work with a PHP editor, which is also fine with me.  (I've been using phpDesigner 2008 and PHP Coder)  Here are a few places to look for editors:  http://www.download.com/PHP/3150-7957_4-0-1-4.html   (If you find an editor that you really like share it's name and location in Blackboard's Call for Help discussion board area.)

I have been disappointed in the textbook selected for this course.  But luckily you have access to many more ebooks on PHP and MySQL via the library's proxey server, which requires you to login with your UMFlint ID and LAN password.  See my links to these books at: PHP & MySQL books from Safari Books Online
